Here's a Scirocco we found in the weeds. The owner said we could have it if we just hauled it home.  That's one for the good guys! We are currently in the process of restoring it. The interior is almost flawless! This is going to be my son's third VW project.

This is our next project. A fellow automotive business owner turned us onto this diesel Rabbit Caddy. It has a little rust here and there but the interior is nice. We haven't decided whether we want to put a 1.5L or a 1.6L diesel in it but it's going to have a special ratio transmission installed. When we finish the project we'll let you know the mileage.

Hello Dave,

I got to take the Jetta on a road trip to California and I am happy to report some unbelievable mpg on my three tanks of gas. My first tank was 34.48, my second tank was 34.45, and my third was 33.19. This is with the 2.0 litre 16 valve motor! I have aftermarket TT/Borla exhaust and catalytic converter, but the rest of the engine is stock right down to the airbox and paper filter. I am sure I could get over 36 mpg with this set-up: I was using petroleum based oil in engine and tranny instead of synthetic, I have ultra sticky tires instead of low rolling resistance, and I was on Highway 101 in Northern California for most of the trip so there isn't a constant speed and flat ground. I also could have been easier on the throttle in quite a few instances, but this yields better real world figures since that is how I drive. On that last tank of gas I hit Portland rush hour traffic so that killed some mpg. I had my speedometer checked at Tacoma Speedometer by their lead tech and it is right on the money so these numbers are accurate. I am glad I was able to improve my mileage and replace my worn transmission all for a reasonable cost. I am very happy with how you treated me and the product you recommended. Thanks Dave.

Hi David!

Still like to thank you for the trans you did for me already a while back! Works great. Had some mishaps with the 1.9 diesel conversion, but all in all I like it a lot. Get 48mpg average!

Your Trans worked perfectly fine and I am very satified with the altered gear ratios! It is quite noticeable with the added power from the new 1.9 diesel.
